The brief
Every heavy rain sent water down the slope toward the house and into the basement.
What we did
We regraded the yard, laid a perforated drain in a gravel trench, and built a segmental block retaining wall with drainage behind it.
The result
Water now leaves the property by the drain and the lawn is usable again.
